Job Duties:

  • Produces food orders in a timely, neat and organized manner according to the specifications of each dish, and the needs of the guest.
  • Prep proteins, chop, slice, dice, peel, and portion fruits and vegetables, following portion control, food quality, and safe food handling standards.
  • Safely operate and sanitize food slicer.
  • Follows approved recipes while ensuring proper cooking techniques and the highest quality standards are upheld.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of assisting in controlling product costs by ensuring the proper management of product waste.  Attempts to control food costs; throw away, etc. 
  • Seeks to provide a memorable experience in all guest interaction opportunities, culminating in the “Best Day Ever” for our guests.
  • Identifies store products specific to outlets and takes an active role in quality control of food items. 
  • Notifys supervisor of any foreseeable concerns or developments.
  • Familiar with all product/inventory in freezers and coolers and assists in ensuring that all product/inventory are properly rotated to maintain freshness.
  • Ensures that all hand skill techniques involving specific culinary utensils (knives, peeler, etc.) are applied while consistently following documented safety standards.
  • Continually demonstrates the ability to keep workstations organized and produces required quantity according to demands of station.  Identifies, utilizes and builds knowledge base of specific culinary terms per assigned outlet (i.e. grilling, dicing, etc.).    
  • Practices ‘clean as you go’ habits, and leaving the workspace clean, organized, and sanitized at the conclusion of the shift.

Rate of Pay: $16.50/hr

Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Offer exemplary customer service.                                      
    • Ensures all guest issues are resolved in accordance with RGZ policy guidelines and in a manner that reflects well on the gift shop.
    • Understands POS operations; troubleshoots both hardware and software issues.
    • Adheres to cash control policies and protocols by securing monies at all times in accordance with said protocols.
    • Responsible for maintaining sufficient funds in POS drawers throughout the sales day.
    • Direct drawer/shift changes, including assigning drawer schedules and drawer reconciliation.
    • Perform POS closing procedures by running reports, reconciling cash drawers and credit card charges, and preparing bank deposits.
    • Able to perform all tasks required for store opening and closing procedures, including securing the premises at the end of the day.
    • Maintains communication with all members of management and sales staff daily.
    • Supports the management staff in the processing and intake of merchandise shipments.
    • Schedules breaks for associates and provide coverage, as necessary. 
    • Occasionally add inventory to Square from received shipment.
    • Occasionally assist in online order fulfillment.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Previous retail supervisor experiences preferable.
    • Knowledge of computers and point of sale systems.
    • Ability to lift 50lbs and climb ladders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Excellent and positive customer service is required. 
      • Learn all functions of the software program, including which functions can only be performed by a manager, i.e., tax-exempt sales.
      • Comfortable with computers.
      • Study and learn how to look up SKUs in Square, especially merchandise that is similar in appearance, to promote accurate scanning.
      • Handle money with accuracy; able to make change.
      • Straighten and/or clean the areas around register between customers.
      • As directed by the managers, complete other tasks while working at the register.
      • Learn all merchandise, its location and how to properly stock. 
      • Clean and straighten according to need.
      • Learn how the backroom is organized and assist in maintaining it, including correcting anything that was not done in accordance with the organizational structure.
      • Price, sort, and stock merchandise.

       

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Ability to interact in a positive manner with customers and staff.

    • Monitors, stocks, and obtains supplies and equipment for refreshment bars.
    • Keeps assigned areas clean and orderly.
    • Performs routine inventory of all required food stand items daily.
    • Provides prompt and efficient service.
    • Stocks coolers and dry stock items for cashiers, barista, and concession stands.
    • Picks up food containers from tables, as well as food trays from floor, tables, and picnic tables.
    • Changes soda syrup BIBs, and CO2 canisters for all soda fountain locations.
    • Reports any equipment malfunctions immediately.
    • Carefully handles kitchen wares and food product.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Cleans all cases and restocks essential items for shop efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages Membership Desk.
  • Provides quality customer service. Distributes general zoo information as needed.
  • Maintains Membership database and provides support for Membership programs.
  • Maintains continuous membership operations, requiring attention to detail and multi-tasking.
  • Accepts cash, checks and credit card payments for Membership applications/renewals, as well as other membership purchases.
  • Accepts payments for and organizes the rental process of strollers and wheelchairs (Must be able to lift 40 lbs.)
  • Maintains Membership Desk supplies, which includes general office supplies and corresponding paperwork pertaining to the Membership application process.
  • Assist with membership admission check-in.
  • Operates cash register and database stations at Members Desk as needed.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evening, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in computer data entry and management.
  • Comfortable and dependable with assigned financial responsibilities.

Rate of pay: $16.00/hr

This position is responsible for implementing and coordinating pre-written curriculum for assigned sessions of summer day camps for children ages 4 to 17. Work hours are primarily between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. Must be available to work the entire summer. This includes staff training days prior to opening of camp during the week of June 23rd, 8 weeks of camp from June 30 through August 22, 2025, with the option of working the week of August 25th.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Assists with implementation and evaluation of camp programs as designed by Zoo Camp Director and Assistant Zoo Camp Director with primary focus on chosen themes.
  • Works collaboratively with fellow instructors to facilitate the use of age-appropriate activities, resources, and materials for camps.
  • Prepares required materials, including supplies and crafts.
  • Leads daily class activities, including tours of the zoo, games, and crafts, and manages behavior of campers during guest speakers and animal demos.
  • Maintains records of materials needed and submits requests in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to zoo policies and protocols.

Skills / Knowledge Required:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience working with children in a school, zoo, nature center, childcare, or other educational setting.
  • Excellent public speaking and organization skills; self-directed, flexible, good record keeping ability.
  • Ability to demonstrate and communicate scientific and conservation messages to children in a lively, engaging manner.
