One Sunday a month, learn about what scientists are doing to help plants and animals, and be a part of the solution. From bird identification to native plant gardening, you will learn skills and work alongside peers to participate in real conservation projects. The Great Backyard Bird Count: January 26
Join us Sunday, January 26 to learn how you can help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations. By practicing observations like wing shape, coloration, and behavior, you will be prepared to help scientists and citizen scientists around the world learn more!
All ages are welcome. We will practice our observation skills with some of our feathered friends right here at the zoo, as well as the local birds that call our city home. Binoculars and notebooks are welcome and encouraged!
